Emotions and tastes, Peru Gourmet 3rd edition

With the participation of students from four culinary schools in Montreal, LaSalle College, CFP Jacques-Rousseau, Ecole hôtelière Calixa-Lavallée and Pearson School of Culinary Arts, was launched the 3rd edition of culinary contest Peru Gourmet 2016.  

Participants had the opportunity to convince the jury with one of four dishes to choose: Arequipa’s stuffed colored peppers, Lima’s creamy Aji de Gallina with a potato cake au gratin, Ceviche Carretillero with mixed seafood and yellow peruvian hot pepper cream and Beetroot Causa with fresh truit tartare and fruit passion reduction.

The jury composed with Chef Marcel Larrea, Antoine Gelinas and Mayssam Samaha, had the difficult task of select the six semi-finalists. After discussions and tastings of dishes the jury determined that following participants move to semi-finals:

Congratulations to participants who made it through to the second step of the competition. The competition will be greater and only one can win the grand prize.

This event is organized by Peru-Canada Chamber of Commerce in Montreal with the strategic support of LaSalle College and sponsored by Trade Office of Peru in Toronto, Copa Airlines, Tiradito Restaurant, San Ceferino Restaurant, Sanduchon Restaurant and Agenda Social Magazine.
